851 Grandeur Owners Profile
The Mills Family ordered their 851 Grandeur at the 2007 May Boat Show in Auckland. It was at this time that they decided they needed a new boat that would suit their requirements for game fishing.
Hawkes Bay Horticulturists Simon and Carolyn, have a true passion for offshore fishing, and opted for the double back-to-back seating layout in their Grandeur. This gave them the cockpit space they needed for game fishing, as shown in the adjacent photo with a Marlin being hauled into the transom.
“It was great visiting the factory to watch our boat through the stages of production” said Simon. “We travel 45 miles off the coast and enjoy having a boat that stands up to the rough sea conditions”.
The Mills Family enjoy game fishing and bottom fishing, and took part in the Lottin Point NZ Open Fishing Tournament where they landed Marlin, Tuna and Mahi-mahi.
